The Intercity annual Charity Golf Day was back this June, and has raised an incredible £7,500 for this year's charity, Birmingham Children's Hospital (BCH).

BCH are a non-for-profit dedicated to providing exceptional healthcare to children in need through innovative treatments, research, and compassionate care. We're proud to announce that through ticket sales, sponsorship and generous contributions on the day, the total raised will go towards the hospital's urgent 1.5m appeal to purchase the hospital’s first iMRI scanner.

Birmingham Children Hospital’s Corporate Partnership Officer, Dearbhla Craddock, joined us on the day to give a heartfelt speech on the importance of events like these for fundraising. She said:

“Charitable donations allow Birmingham Children’s Hospital to be at the forefront of what is possible, ensuring patients and families receive the best care, treatment, experience, and environment. With Intercity’s support, the hospital and charity can continue to transform the lives of some of the UK’s sickest kids.”

The day of golf was followed by a barbecue, live band and a speech from Welsh football legend, Dean Saunders, who shared with attendees’ comedic stories from his long career. We had an exceptional turnout, with participants representing a wide range of industries and backgrounds.

Golf Day would not have been possible without the support of our sponsors. This year our headline sponsors were Gamma, Freshwave, and Pentest People, with further sponsorship from business such as CyGlass, Juniper Networks, KnowBe4 and Check Point.

We hope to see you all again next year, and keep up our streak of breaking our record for money raised for our chosen charity!
