Last week, Team Intercity came together to mark an unforgettable milestone: 40 years of innovation, growth, and success. With over 300 employees now part of the Intercity family, it’s the dedication, creativity, and hard work of our people that have brought us here and that same spirit will drive the next 40 years.
The celebration kicked off at Luna Springs with drinks, delicious food, and some truly spectacular 80s-inspired outfits. Highlights included a heartfelt speech from Andrew Jackson and Charlie Blakemore, reflecting on the company’s journey and successes over four decades. The evening reached a special moment when Alan Jackson, Intercity’s founder, took the stage to celebrate the company’s early days and an inspiring message for the Intercity family.
A celebration of drinks, bingo, and iconic 80s fun.
We were joined by some unforgettable guests from Marty McFly and Prince to the Cluedo crew, and even Maverick and Goose. The night officially kicked off with a lively round of Bingo Lingo where the prizes were fun, but the real highlight was watching colleagues showcase some seriously impressive (or questionable) dance skills.

Looking back on four decades of growth.
It wouldn’t be a celebration without reflection. Intercity’s journey began as a mobile service provider. Rapid growth followed: from 1 employee to 80 in just 18 months. Since then, we’ve expanded into Managed IT, opened new locations across the UK and consistently supported our local community through charities like Acorns Children’s Hospice. Along the way, we’ve pioneered services beyond mobile, from Cloud and Security to becoming trusted Microsoft specialists.
